Associated Broadcasting Company Pvt Ltd (ABCL)

ABCL is one of the fastest-growing media companies in India today. Starting with a 24-hour news channel (ETV AP) in Andhra Pradesh in 2004, it quickly became a ratings leader with its bold and fearless journalism. Within four years, ETV added seven more channels:

• ETV Karnataka: The first Kannada news channel and a TRP topper.
• ETV Gujarati: The only Gujarati news channel, and a resounding success.
• ETV Marathi: Our stake in the financial capital.
• News9 (English): A dynamic channel for our most happening city.
• Jai Telangana: An exclusive channel for Telangana State.

ETV’s Growth and Rebranding

The Hyderabad daily newspaper Eenadu launched Eenadu TV on 27 August 1995. The network expanded to include regional channels in other Indian languages and built a significant local news network. In March 2015, Viacom 18 rebranded several ETV regional channels into the Colors network:

• Colors Marathi
• Colors Gujarati
• Colors Kannada
• Colors Bangla
• Colors Odia

In April 2016, ETV added three regional news channels under the News18 brand, catering to Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam, and the North East.

New Launches

In November 2014, the flagship company ETPL launched four new Telugu television channels:

• ETV Life – A health and wellness channel.
• ETV Abhiruchi – A cookery channel.
• ETV Plus – An entertainment and reality channel.
• ETV Cinema – A movie channel.
